Hardware injections
We are having a problem with our spine surgeons and hardware injections. The coders are using 64999 for the injections which is an unlisted code. We then get denials. I am being told by the coders that the docs need to name the "space", and this would prevent having to use the unlisted code. The spine docs say they are injecting the hardware, and that they are unable to list a "space". Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can give.
