1/2) The CDI Staff are responsible for all concurrent Queries and the Coder/Coding Manager are responsible for Retro-Queries.

*If a patient is discharged with an open CDI Query it is then the coder's responsibility to determine if they feel an additional retro-query is needed. I would like to expand the CDI specialist's role into post discharge follow up with those unanswered queries. However, I am currently the only CDI specialist at my hospital so there's just no time! Maybe someday
