ICD 10 training through out their organization

Is anyone using a specific company to train their entire organization in ICD 10 or train all of their physicians?

We are using Precyse to train the entire network including physicians and some physician practice office staff. We looked at two other ICD10 training programs and this was the best (in our opinion).

    Thanks,

  • We are using "The Advisory Board" company. Our CDI staff was not part of this decision making process....does anyone know anything about them? They seemed to have very specific questions about what we do, how we do it and our data. It kind of made our staff uncomfortable. They are supposed to be doing physician education for ICD 10 and it feels like they are critiquing us. Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Amy

  • We are using a computer assisted training (modules) through 3M I believe-not sure what the program is called; the CDS's were not part of the decision process either here. We are supposed to start the modules soon, so I will let you know. I hope some others here on CDI talk will have the same so we can share thoughts and questions I'm sure will be coming up.

We are using both Precyse and the Advisory board. As manager of CDI I was not involved in the decision making of who we would use and got in at the tail end. Anyhow, the advisory board seems do a lot of statistical analysis of your top DRG's and the risk areas for ICD 10. They have bi-monthly phone conferences with us and do go over system by system what will be expected to be documented in ICD 10.
