CDI Book Suggestions?

Good Morning Everyone!
Our program has enough money left in the budged for us to purchase ONE resource book- woo hoo!
We are very excited about this and are beginning to research what book we would like to request.
I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations???
We already have the ACDIS Physician Query Handbook and the ACDIS CDI Pocket Guide.
We are thinking maybe a book to help us prepare for ICD-10 from a CDI perspective might be useful.
We are open to all suggestions, authors, publishers, etc.

Thanks in advance,
Greta

I really like the ACDIS CDI Specialists Guide for ICD-10. HCPro often offers a 25% discount - talk to Al.

Otherwise, there are several good ICD-10 guides out there from AHIMA.

ICD-10 is the great equalizer - for ALL of US, CDI and Coders!

We can be competent in ICD-10 and at this early stage in the game - we can learn quite a bit!

    Greta,

Contexo Media has a book called Best Practices for ICD-10-CM Documentation and Compliance. We have found this to be a great resource.

Good Luck in your search! There are some great ICD-10 resources out there.

  • My favorite is:

*The 2014 CDI Pocket Guide* - helps you take clinical findings and dig
deeper, and look for additional details
