ACDIS Conference Hotel Recommednations?

Good Morning!
I was looking at the suggested hotels for this year's conference in San Antonio, TX.
There is the Marriot Rivercenter and the Marriot Riverwalk.
Does anyone know if one is better, closer to the convention center, restaurants, activities etc?
I'd appreciate any insights from anyone who knows the area!

    Hi Great,
    I lived in San Antonio for many years. Both are close to the convention center and both are excellent hotels.

    They both actually sit in the middle of the riverwalk so there is plenty of food, activities and shopping, all within walking distance.

    I just called to book two rooms and they were already booked for both hotels. Also, the discounted rate is gone. You may want to call now. I found space at the Residence Inn Downtown/Alamo Plaza at a good price.

    I actually just called to book the hotel and had no problems.
    I booked the Marriot Rivercenter since it was close to the mall ;)
    They still had rooms available and the group rate was valid.
    You might want to try again...

    I just heard this from my ACDIS representative...
    "The Marriott RiverWalk is completely sold out. The Marriott RiverCenter has about 20 rooms."
    Looks like they are booking up fast!

    Hi guys, there are still plenty of rooms available for the nights of the conference... if you are planning on staying on Thursday night or later, however (i.e, after the conference ends), you may need to find other accommodations.
