Pediatric Sepsis

We are in the process of developing our facility defined clinical indicators for Pediatric Sepsis/Severe Sepsis/Septic Shock. We don’t have any "formal" written criteria but we use the Pediatric Sepsis Consensus Conference info from 2005…it defines SIRS criteria by age and hypotension/shock.

Same as what Jeff said above~ we use the same criteria also.

No facility defined or formal written criteria here either.

We also use the International Pediatric Sepsis Consensus criteria as referenced above for children ages 17 years and younger. We use Sepsis 3 criteria for patients 18 and over.

No separate facility defined criteria at our organization.
