Anyone know how to code "Restrictive Lung Disease due to underlying Neuromuscular Weakness- severe exacerbation"? Patient has SMA type 2. Is there a code more specific than J98.4 Other disorders of lung?

Any thoughts about J99? Since it is an exacerbation (according to Pulmonologist), could J98.4 be Pdx? Pt "admitted" for RSV Bronchiolitis & respiratory distress (95% sats on 1 L, mild retractions, no distress, baseline neuro, VBG 8 hours after admit: 7.36/39.9 on FiO2 36% ) then after~18 hours he tanked and had to go to PICU for NIV/bipap.

Possible Chronic Resp Failure, and dependence on oxygen codes may help. Often these patients are on 02, at least during sleep.
