OB Delivery Cord Entanglement

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering what do you do in the case of a mom who is admitted, then the baby has a cord entanglement (OB Code 663.1-X). Do you query for cord entanglement POA, look at documentation to determine if cord entanglement POA, what is your process. Need help with this one!

    I don't ask for Nuchal Cord POA. Whether the delivery is by C/S or SVD and baby's presentation is w/the cord I would think that is POA. Maybe I'm wrong but.....

    The official coding guidelines indicate you would assign a breech or
    malpresention as "Y" for POA, therefore a cord entanglement would follow
    that same line of thinking.
