Weekend CDI?

We currently have 9 CDSs in 2 facilities and work Monday through Friday. We are struggling with the volume on Monday as well as the potential lost cases over the weekend.

Do any of you have weekend coverage? If so, what does it look like?

    We had weekend coverage for a very brief time several years ago. We found that the rounding physicians were often covering another provider's patient and were not very willing to answer queries as they were not as familiar with the patients who were not their own and because they were trying to complete rounding in a timely manner. I agree that the burden on Monday is high but it's just become part of our world. The team hits it really hard on Monday and then the rest of the week is less difficult.
