QM CDI and Physician Advisor meetings
We are looking to hire a Physician advisor to help with CDI and QM. We are in the discussions with our CMO and CFO currently. Does anyone here hold joint meetings with their Physician Advisor and Quality? If so, how often do you meet? What is a typical agenda for these meetings? My thoughts on agenda: Bring to the table concurrent reviews with unanswered queries, cases with complications, mortalities, and PSI/HACs, discuss impacts and education opportunities for resolution.

Good Morning, currently we do not have a PA only for CDI and Quality but it something we are hoping to pursue. Right now our physician advisors work on medical necessity denials, peer to peers, DRG downgrades, while also assisting with length of stay, UM, provider education, clinical documentation, coding, quality, etc. Good luck and I hope you are successful in receiving approval.
