CHF Etiology

Recently i have been asked to Query for the etiology of CHF , even when there is no official diagnosis of any valve disease in the medical record, but the echo reports states " mild to moderate tricuspid regurgitation."

This is the recommended query I am to use

I am having a hard time understanding the need to query when there is no official valve diagnosis. Has there been changes or updates that are recommended this types of queries an all the CHF with abnormal tee reports

  • To pose a question to your question If the hypertensive heart disease is your reason for admission (the Pdx) it is an ACSC condition. ... If the chf was due to valvular heart disease i.e.,C (I35.9) is it also an ACSC condition? I didn't see it listed on www.qualityindicators.ahrq.gov Maybe that is why...

    Love feedback :-)
