sepsis not in DC summary
Does everyone automatically send a query for sepsis confirmation if it is not in DC summary? Even if the attending provider documents Sepsis due to and lists SIRS criteria and has sepsis in many of the daily progress notes but just did not carry into DC summary?
Curious how other organizations are setting standards related to sepsis in DC summary. Thank you!

Great topic. Best practice is that the D/C summary include the diagnoses so continuity of care throughout the health record is established. Interested to see how organizations are handling this given the continued denials seen with sepsis.
