Hi Everyone, first time posting here so let me know if this is the right place to ask. I was reviewing a medical record with acute PE as PDx. Clinical indicators supporting acute cor pulmonale are documented so a query for it was in order. However, when I ran it by our grouper, it no longer takes acute cor pulmonale as MCC. I asked our go-to coder if there's been a downgrade on the ACP's MCC status: I put this through the encoder using discharge dates prior to and after Oct 1 2018 and the grouper for PDX I26.09 did change from MSDRG 175 prior to Oct 1, 2018 to 176 post Oct 1. I couldn’t find any specific references for this change. I also spent a bit of time researching the link below but couldn’t find anything specific to this change. I checked the errata and I don’t think it is a grouper error. I will let you know if I come across any information on this! Any information will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! Gerry
