CDIS v.s. CCS exam

Thank you all so much for your quick responses. I am clear now.
Just was not expecting CCS related entries on this site.

I do have one more question about the CDI exam; is it critical that I have the latest "DRG Expert"? Our facility usually purchases the
"DRG Desk Reference" yearly and the "DRG Expert" every few years.

    Not really sure Joan... I wouldn't go beyond 2 years. When I took my test I bought my own book so I would have the most current one. Amazon had some "previously owned" books and I bought a current one for less than new - it was "slightly damaged" meaning the back cover had been bent and had a crease down the back.

    There aren't going to be many more changes due to ICD 10 but you want to be able to answer the questions correctly. You want all the advantages you can get!
