Vivian, what type of bugs have you encountered? We are looking at this
    software for our program.

    Norma,

It was Jamie Dugan who mentioned the ‘bugs’. I would like to know what kind of ‘bugs’ as well.

    Jamie,

Could you offer up some detail regarding the bugs?

We had some difficulty running our work list and one of our in house folks had to do a work around and create a different sign on for both of the CDI RN's get it to work. 3 M came in to do education but I really did not find it that helpful. The in house person was of more assistance I think.
    thanks Jamie

    Thank you Vivian!

We have had a couple of demos w/this product over the past 6mos. Our business office is going to be using the 3M product so we would like to flow seamless w/ them if possible. We liked that our coders could have access to our notes and queries. (I believe that is an additional feature $$) it seem more of a team effort.

We use 3M CDIS-not HDM and are still figuring it out. I like it. Please feel welcome to contact me and I can discuss some of our kinks as well. Still wanting better reports from it. But, may be just the learning curve on my part.

I mentioned in the thread it was regarding the CDI worklist. We could
not keep it from refreshing every two minutes thus rendered it unable to
be used. We ended up having on of our in house people tweak it and
create new sign ons for us and she also made It more user friendly for
what we are doing, putting most used tabs in the front, having names pre
load instead of having to choose them etc.

    Thanks Jamie

We like it to, we use both HDM and also 3M! Yes there is a learning
    curve I agree!

We've been using 3M CDIS since fall 2009. The reports require too much
tweaking in my mind. Data storage seems fine. However, if you are
performing any retrospective mortality reviews for AMI you will not be
able to enter and record the correct DRG that allows for expired. Call
if you would like to talk further.
