RE: [MARKETING] MCC/CC capture for Surgical cases
I agree with Sharon that these patients are generally healthy patients who are not going to have a lot of mcc's. Every once in a while we will have maybe an exacerbation of chf, encephalopathy or post op respiratory failure but that is rare. I did not think our job was to "avoid" diagnosis though- I always think of it as being accurate. If the patient is being treated for a major co-morbidity it should be documented. Right??
