Re: [BULK] Team Building
Our coders and CDS are in separate depts, Coders in Health Information and CDS in Case Management but offices were down the hall from one another. About a year ago, our coders went off site. Before the transition off site, we met 1-2 times a month in a Task Force meeting and spoke via phone or face to face as needed. We continue to meet regularly 1-2 times per month. We have not seen a detrimental impact on our team because we continue to talk via phone or e-mail for any questions and if anything has cut down on informal conversing.
Our process has not suffered nor has our team dynamics. I do think it's important to keep regulary scheduled meetings.
