ARF

Does any one have any good information I could provide to our hospitalist group about definitions of ARF or RIFLE criteria? One of the physicians is requesting information regarding ARF vs. ARI defintions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tara

    Tara,
If you go to the ACDIS website and click on "Forms and Tools" on the left margin. You will find many references to just what you are looking for.

    Just as ARF 584.9
Per Coding rules- an 'adverse reaction' is coded to the symptom.
    Adverse reaction to dye=ARF.

  • Would query for ATN if indications for same are met.

The code for the form of ARF must be sequenced first, then the cause of injury codes.
