CMI for Peds
Hello ACDIS membership,
Can anyone give us information on the average CMI for a Pediatric Hospitalist program for a hospital with 10 peds bed in a hospital with 200+ beds total. We do not formally follow Peds patients but am trying to help the Director for Practice Management determine productivity for his Peds Hospitalist using various data sets of which CMI is a portion. Thanks. This could possibly lead into expansion of our program-which we are adamantly pushing for now.
We want to show how severity of illness and risk of mortality along with the CMI is just as important for non-MCR patients including Peds as the normal MCR patient population we now cover. Our new CMO sees our point and needs data to help.
