3M CDIS Query Eval Tab

Anyone using CDIS, I would like to get a thorough explanation of what and how the Query Eval Tab is supposed to help with reporting. We're populating it and I don't yet see where it is making any difference. Help please.
Thanks, Donna

The Query Eval tab is the section where you can "play" with different Dx/DRGs in the encoder. Nothing that you put in here is saved or reported unless you type "yes" in the "include in reporting" field.
The tab's purpose is to capture what the potential is and where the downfalls occur. For example, you can assign a DRG that COULD have occurred had the provider/physician agreed with a query and then compare it to your final DRG. From this, you can determine the dollar amount lost by not receiving favorable answers to your queries. We do not use this section at this time; it is a good idea but it is very time consuming and confusing.

    Thanks,
    Megan
