RE: [BULK] Financial projection

Exactly. We are still in the building phase ourselves but this is something I worry about already. Our Hospitalists are pretty receptive and over time, they get pretty good at including the documentation without prompting. I foresee that at some point we will see a dip in our impact and it can be difficult to explain to those who don't work directly in the field (IE: administration) why we are still relevant.
Our facility had a fairly robust program close to 10 years ago. As data began to look better (reimbursement, CC/MCC capture, etc), they began cutting FTE's and eventually went from several FT nurses to one nurse working part-time without any support. Shockingly , a few years later they began seeing their data falter and fall and that's when I was hired and we began ramping back up. It can be difficult to explain that changes in impact may not be related to how hard a CDS is working or the relevancy of our work.
