Yes, our queries have decreased in some ways and changed over time as
well. Our program is a little over 10 years old. Many docs are great
at the "key terms" in most cases. Every once in awhile even the best
ones digress. We do quite a bit of 1:1 education but now we are seeing
a good number of queries that don't impact DRG but more reflective of
SOI.
However, having said this, we are also becoming more inundated with
"other tasks" ie. shared governance type responsibilities and various
"other duties as assigned". We have changed our target review
populations from all payers to only Medicare, Medicare Replacements, and
BCBS plans.
