Case Management Software

This question is out of the realm of CDS but I am looking for information for my Director. Can anyone tell me what Case Management Softwares your facilities use?

Thanks,
Karen

  • Our CM Department currently uses McKesson Interqual for medical necessity reviews; and just purchased Midas software, with go-live date of Jan. 2013.

We use Allscripts for Case Management and CDI. Patient records are EPIC.

  • Our CM uses Midas and CDI will soon begin using Midas (McKesson product)
  • We use Midas for CDI and it is a wreck - I could not even begin to communicate the issues and problems we have with this product. I am sure some will respond it works well for their programs, but that has not been our experience.

We too have Midas and short of using it to capture data (and not real great at that), that is about the only use we have found for MIDAS.

  • We used Midas when I was in Case Management for UR and documentation of discharge planning until they implemented Epic. After that, we built the case management/social work documentation into Epic (including templates) and only used Midas for UR.

    Melissa,

We use Midas + not sure what version, but I would definitely ask for a demo.

    Dorie Douthit, RHIT,CCS
  • We have version 2011.2.4.

Data elements are not defined properly from a CDI standpoint, the reports are not accurate, and the daily work lists are totally inaccurate. We have been trying for over one year to solve issues, to no avaial.

(I guess you could say I don't recommend the product).

  • We use McKesson and Milliman electronic.
