Chemotherapy

I thought I knew the answer to this but my CRS must be kicking in:

If a patient is admitted for administration of chemo, and during the course of the admission he develops a condition unrelated to chemo but requiring treatment and increased length of stay, does the principal diagnosis stay as administration of chemo?

Thanks,

Renee

Principal diagnosis would still be administration of chemo.

As long as the patient received the chemo treatment... the DRG stays there.
