Number of ICD-9s and sequencing

Hello all~

We just received a very unfavorable SOI/ROM report from our consulting group and there were several questions raised that I thought you might be able to help answering.

How many ICD-9 codes are usually sent out for billing? Just the first nine?

Does the palliative care V code (V66.7) need to be within the first nine ICD-9 codes to be captured in the data?

Have you reviewed your data using the newest med-par data and if so, how did your SOI/ROM change if any?
