Next ACDIS quarterly conference call: ICD-10 questions wanted
Hi CDI Talkers, Brian Murphy here. I hope you are all doing well.
As you probably have seen, Penny Richards recently posted that our first ACDIS quarterly conference call of 2013 will take place on Thursday, February 14, from 1-2 p.m. ET. This will run like our other calls, but I wanted to spend some more time on this call discussing ICD-10, since we are getting a little closer every day to the Oct. 2014 compliance date. I've asked Shannon McCall, an HCPro boot camp instructor and ICD-10 approved trainer, to come on as a special guest.
My question to you is: What would you like me to ask Shannon (and the rest of the board) regarding ICD-10? This can be anything from broad preparedness questions, to diagnosis specifics/additional specificity in the record, to coding guidelines.
Please feel free to respond here in the thread or e-mail me at bmurphy@cdiassociation.com. If you send your questions Shannon will be happy to look into/research them as she is able.
I'm of course happy to take any non-ICD-10 questions for the board as well.
Thanks a lot,
Brian
