Sequencing of Septic Shock
Any ideas on how to sequence the following?
Septic shock due to necrotizing fasciitis.
Also documented severe sepsis, acute renal failure.
2003 4Q 2004 updates seem to say to sequence the necrotizing fasciitis as principal followed by septic shock. But I am not sure how the additional documentation of severe sepsis comes into play. Any ideas?
