CDI ICD 10 PCS queries and CDIS tool

I am wondering what kind of training CDI programs are doing on ICD 10 PCS coding/querying. Should CDI nurses be reading OP reports and querying for procedures or is anyone planning on having coding do this retrospectively?

Anyone using 3M CDIS tool, does this tool help RN's query for procedures? The thought of doing PCS coding training scares me as I am not a coder.

    We have 3M CDIS but am not aware of a tool for querying for procedures. There is a query for debridement but not one for specifics of OR Reports. You could probably use a documentation clarification type of query in this situation.

    We've not yet discussed the ICD-10 PCS querying process.
