Working at Home (WAH)
Hello,
The plan is to have the CDS work from home 1-2 days per wk. Face to face is always a struggle and HCMC is a teaching hospital so it seems even more essential to have CDS onsite part time. One CDS does not have a plan to work from home and will be onsite. The worklist is generated by account number (visit) and divided into 6 groups by the 3M system (CDIS).
I have also worked for a hospital that works from home w/one CDS in house each day (divided by 5 CDS which would be 4-5 times per month) with one on call for the possibility for a call in. The list is an alpha split (provider) and rotates each month.
Both hospital systems use Epic & 3M CDIS.
Queries are housed in the 3M system linked to the visit/acct #.
