complication??

We have a patient who underwent a ‘lisfranc extension of a transmetatarsal amputation’ 2 weeks ago at another facility and then was admitted to our facility with ‘incisional necrosis’.

Complication?
Thanks for your help!

  • I am not seeing a corresponding complication code for 'necrosis'. Is this going to fall in the 'other spec complications of procedueres'" (998.89)?

    Thanks!
