CDI Week ideas
For CDI week we buy cookies, bag them and put them in the physician lounges with a thank you note to the physicians for their documentation efforts, this year we are attaching a label with a doc tip printed on it and sticking it on the bag -- we also display the ACDIS poster in various areas of the hospital. For the staff we have a special luncheon with a polyanna gift exchange and this year, as a learning opportunity, we are having a scavenger hunt -- I have made up various questions pertaining to reimbursement, regulatory initiatives, ICD-10, coding guidelines, etc., the staff has until the end of the week to "find" the answers - the one with the most correct answers will win a prize -- my Supervisor and I are making up a basket of goodies as the prize. We are also using the free Webinars offered during the week as additional learning opportunities.
