Sandy,

I'd be interested in your thoughts regarding 3M's CDI software.

Sandy, so would I, I have obtained pricing on 3M CDI and looking to put it in our 2011 budget. Is the bang worth the buck? We are small with a cooperative Medical Staff. When you have time, don't rush yourself, enjoy training.

I will be glad to share my thoughts about CDIS by 3M with the group.
Yesterday was day 1, so it may take a while to figure out what I think.
Our coders are using 3M's encoder and have Advanced Analyzer. We want
Advanced Analyzer on our computers as well. So that piece got missed,
and I think it will make a big difference.

Is there anything else I can do for you?
Clinical Quality Management would like your feedback on our ability to
meet your needs. Please complete a satisfaction survey for our
    department.

I HAVE 3M ON MY COMPUTER ( I REQUESTED IT ABT 2 MONTHS AGO) AND ANALYZER, I LOVE IT. IT GUIDES ME WHERE TO LOOK FOR OTHER SPECIFIC Qs.

Is it easy to use? Do you plug in info and does it guide you to the Q. Is it a decision tree somewhat like 3M encoder/analyzer?

I am truly in need of a software that can cover all payor groups and isn't
going to cost a fortune! Our current vendor's software only supports
    medicare. Can anyone offer advice/insight?

We had our IS dept build ours....mainly because financial reasons did not allow us to purchase, but I believe they did an excellent job. It can incorporate any payor type.
