I know the feeling well. We have a 100% electronic record and I never go on the floor to review cases with providers. However I make sure we keep in touch and have developed a great working relationship. You don't have to be physically visible for them to know you are there. In fact I had a phone call from one yesterday asking why she hadn't heard from me in a while but also to discuss a case where she wanted my thoughts on how best to document a condition on a patient.
