H&P policy
Does anyone have a hospital policy on H&Ps especially in relation to surgery with full EMR?
If there is a handwritten H&P that is carried in?? Does anyone have any requirements that it is scanned into the EMR prior to surgery or in a defined time frame?
Or a requirement that it is reference so someone knows it actually exists?
I'm guessing there are times when it is on the hard chart (that no one looks at in a full EMR).
It seems like if surgery is planned than part of that process should be to include that and have it visible by anyone looking at the EMR.
