pt transfers & sepsis

Wanted to get the group's thoughts on this scenario: pt diagnosed at
outlying facility with pneumonia and admitted for IV Claforan, was
inpatient there for 4 days then transferred to where I work for "higher
level of care" due to worsening cough, not improving as expected. Pt
meets Sepsis criteria with leukocytosis, tachycardia, tachypnea,
elevated CRP and fevers but has been here only 1 day so far. Would you
query for sepsis already since pt was inpatient at other facility or
would you wait for pt to be here for "3 days"?
Thanks!

If clinical indicators of sepsis are present then would go ahead and query for sepsis.
