Hello,
Does anyone have information they have provided to physicians on "comfort care" orders? I have been charged with educating our physicians on correct documentation when it is appropriate to move an acute patient to comfort care levels.

    This is definitely an education focus for us here as well. The 'short version' message I give the docs is that if you have reason not to TREAT aggressively, then you have reason to DOCUMENT aggressively. Not every day, but at least clearly at the time of transition.
