ICD-10 Boot camp Question
I’m thinking about attending the CDI Boot camp for ICD-10 but after reading the ICD-10 for CDI guide and reviewing a lot of information I am wondering what value added may be present by attending the boot camp. So, I am curious if anyone out there who has attended is willing to let me know if they found it valuable and if so how to help justify my request to the powers that be.
Thanks in advance
Robert

We are attending the CDI ICD-10 boot camp in February. Our hospital also recently had us attend the ICD -10 Basics Boot camp which was excellent. The instructor did a great job of delivering the content in an easy and understandable way and I found it beneficial for both the Documentation Specialists as well as the Coders. I personally walked away with a good bit of information that I can start using to further educate my staff as well our MD's. I also feel that it helped to (as a group) diffuse a little bit of the anxiety of what it is exactly that is to come in Oct 2014. Everyone walked out feeling a little less frazzled and more prepared to embrace the other forms of education we have in the works.
I'm looking forward to the session in February! Good luck.
