Health Grades complications

Does anyone have any information/advice/handout that address avoiding complications reported without avoidance of diagnosis. Do 900 codes need to be present in order for it to be a reported complication by Health grades? Does any patient (Hip for example) with the diagnosis of AKI or Pneumonia that is not POA get reported as a complication by Health Grades?
