Same here. I usually handle these as verbal queries as well because interpersonal communication can explain and clarify in ways that print never can. When I discuss these, I utilize criteria that the auditors typically cite so it isn't misconstrued that I am questioning the diagnosis, but rather I am clarifying. In the beginning, I think I was most apprehensive about these queries. My greatest fear was that I would damage professional relationships with my valid question. Quite the contrary, these discussions go well; neither of us want a denial.
