RE: [EXTERNAL] RE: end stage CHF
Without an ECHO, you may not have diastolic dysfunction stated, but you may have other evidence that the heart failure is diastolic in nature.
That’s interesting that your Cards don’t think that CHF can always be specified by type. Ours have never said that. I guess my question would be, then what is causing the failure? The only time I know of where we shouldn’t be looking for type is when we are referring to Right-sided Heart Failure. It was explained to me that this cannot be specified further as systolic or diastolic.
