RE: Definitions of Malnutrition

Can anyone define the difference between malnutrition and protein calorie malnutrition and protein malnutrition? Our Inpatient Dietitan Team are assisting us with developing information to educate the physicians and to help us with our queries. We use 3-M. the codes are all different for each, we need to define all the codes so the dietitans can help us screen.

    We are currently using the Florida manual guidelines from 2008.

    Our dieticians came up with this page. The prealbumin level seems to be an important indicator as the albumin level is affected by many things.
