Hiring for ICD 10

Good Morning,

Are any organizations hiring additional CDS's for ICD 10? I know there is a prediction that coding productivity will be reduced by 40%, but I have not seen the same prediction for CDI.

    We did. This had less to do with a decrease in productivity but more to do with the desire to cover all payers in the I-10 environment. The hope is that we can help ensure a more complete record that is ready for coding at the time of discharge. Of course there are plenty of other reasons to move to an all-payer system, this was just one consideration.
