Reporting structure for CDI

Hello,
This is an age-old question but, quite possibly, an evolving one as our Healthcare climate rapidly continues to change. I combed through the ACDIS site but came up with no current data (within last 2 years) on this subject.

One word answer is fine.

    CDI is under case management and we report to Director of Case Management. We are located in HIM across from the MD lounge

    We now report to the director of clinical values (quality), we moved into this department 2 years ago. Our director reports to the CMO. Prior we were in the Care Coordination dept and our director reported to the CNO.

    We are a 3 facility system and each hospital has their own CDI team on site who reports to Case Manager Director.

    Coders are remote and are not hospital specific
