Acute Blood Loss Anemia

I thought I recently saw a good reference specific to acute blood loss anemia. I just looked, and couldn't locate it.

Does anyone remember seeing this, and could you point me in the right direction?

    I don't recall a "criteria", but I will query when I see a transfusion
    with mention of anemia related to a GI bleed or anemia related to some
    type of blood loss. I always ask if it is acute or chronic and if it's
    related to blood loss or if there is another suspected cause.
