reopening of recent laparotomy site
Does anyone have any information of what constitutes "recent" in determining 'reopening of recent laparotomy site'?
Does the physician have to specifically state these words?
I have a record where patient had exploratory laparotomy on 01/22 and again on 02/20.
OP report states midline incision was made through old incision.
Would we be allowed to use the 'reopening' code for this?
