Brian: digest request please

Brian, I've tried to use the link to change to digest mode, but I keep
getting error messages. Our organization is upgrading Office and I have
several email rules I must follow that require me to decrease email
volume. Can you please take care of this for me? Thanks.

This e-mil was sent to me but I did not send this e-mail to CDI talk. There was another person who wanted to stop Talk from coming to outlook. Perhaps she sent this e-mail. I however have the same problem. I have experienced the same issues in trying to
stop CDI talk from coming via Outlook. I love CDI talk and want to receive it through your ACDIS website only.

    Thanks, Vicki

  • No problem Sandy and Vicki, I'll take care of this for you.

  • I only read it on the website, so it's kind of funny to see in the middle of threads the out-of-office messages, etc. Reading it through the website is for me the only way to keep all the discussions straight.

The emails still come to my email address, but I have it filtered so they go directly to the bozo bin.

Hi Brian, I am still getting CDI talk through my Microsoft Outlook. I only want to get CDI Talk through the ACDIS website. It is much easier to follow there. Could you look into this again? Thanks, Vicki

The same here. I want it to come via ACDIS only and not on my Microsoft Outlook business site. I have tried repeatedly to withdraw but always get an 'error' message.
    Thank you.

    Brian,

I would also like to receive CDI talk via ACDIS website. I love it and
want to continue. I believe I could also follow better on the website.

Another option I want to share is setting up an Outlook rule to send all
CDI Talk emails to a specific

CDI Talk Folder in your personal folders. Using this process, you can
    still receive all the postings,

but they can be accessed at your convenience and they will not fill your
    inbox, which we all know

fills up much too quickly. I had my IT Support help set up this rule in
Outlook. I hope this is helpful to all,

since we agree that these postings are quite valuable.

  • It is much easier to follow on the web site; the only disadvantage is that there's no way to tell if there are new messages other than to open up the thread (or keep count in your head!). But it's much, much easier to follow the discussion when they're all linked together.

You can set up Outlook to delete the messages when they come in and then just empty your deleted items folder, so your mailbox won't get filled up. Another option is not to use your work e-mail as the default, so you won't run into potential trouble with your administrator cleaning your Outlook folders due to excessive storage. Just get a throwaway g-mail account and have everything sent there.

Brian - I have tried 2x to have the CDI talk stop coming to my outlook.
I would rather review from ACDIS. Thank you
