Is there a Sepsis educational tool for physicians out there?

Thank you,

We had our consultant group come last month and provide live sessions for changes relative to each Specialty group. We also are offering Webinars for the providers that missed those educational opportunities.

We used the "Claro Group" who does the metrics for our CDI group and has for 5 years.

That's a great tool. Do you have any others for ICD-10 you wouldn't mind sharing?

I did our training for all physicians and all the ancillary staff as well. I did some as a group and one on one. I highly recommend you do the training by specialty and by department.

    Hi Paul,
I perused your tool too. Very good (as always) . I was particularly intrigued by the last section with the codes! Can you share more with me? Or is there a resource I can access that has the code crosswalk so easy to see and understand?

I have many Providers begging for this information despite the fact that we have tool in EPIC that will help "calculate" the code with the words documented in the record. I am uncertain of the disconnect. Perhaps it is in the ability to use the tool. More training going out soon but this listing (such as in your Sepsis fact sheet) would be valuable for now.

    Thank you Paul!

  • Jane

I used a grouper to find the code sets, copied the Tabular List of Codes, and then pasted into the document. Yes, visual aids are helpful.
