Functional quadraplegia
Good Afternoon-
This may seem too ...reaching...
I have a 986 pt with BMI 176. Came in for AKI now on dialysis, not yet calling it ESRD but even if they do end there... it will be PDX. Pt who was taking Lasix for chronic lymph edema. She is 54 with 24 hour home care, braden scale of 12 ( wondering about a couple elements of this score- as she is incontinent and unaware due to what seems to be a perception rather than cognitive issue).
She can move her arms, but is a 9 person assist to move with 2 lifts.no documented pressure ulcers, pannus wound - documented as stasis ulcer (email out to wound nurse to make sure).
It seems like she is functionally dependent but I know functional quadraplegia seems most frequently used in cognitively impaired persons... Any thoughts, suggestions?
I'm looking at AKI with cc's_ morbid obesity, obesity ventilation syndrome...
