Support for additional staff
Sorry if this has been addressed previously.
Any ideas on how I can put together a report for financial management staff/CFO that shows my CDI productivity when I do not have a computer program that tracks statistics or to run reports off of? (Supposed to get a computer program when the 2nd person is hired however they want more than the financial reports of CDI's positive impact ($, SOI and ROM impact amounts) that I have already provided before they will agree to allow a posting for a job vacancy.) Currently I keep 2 logs on Excel spreadsheets for: 1) no response to queries, 2) CDI impact ($ gain, $ loss, DRG-SOI- ROM change from queries). Very time consuming~ which, as you all know, takes away from chart review, plus factoring in my other duties (meetings, physician and resident education, contacting physicians for outstanding Coding queries, etc.).
