RE: [EXTERNAL] Outpatient CDI
I’m doing outpatient CDI to a very basic extent. It’s challenging because notes may not be completed at the time of the encounter but later in the day. My review is done next day when I have time to do them vs. same day for inpatient. While there is value to outpatient CDI I feel that it’s a program unto itself, and in the ER especially they may not have all the diagnostics back before the patient is either released or admitted.
